If you have played hockey before, great! If you haven't, that's OK too. We can suggest a path you can take to get ready.

Club Players

If you are currently playing for a club team, you're ready! Let us know you are interested by emailing us at losalicehockey@gmail.com. We'll add you to our email list and keep you informed as events get nearer. We also strongly encourage you join practices in the Spring before you start high school. Learning to Skate and Play Hockey

Learn to Skate and Learn to Play programs are offered through the The Rinks. These programs are a good place for beginners to start on their path to playing hockey. You can more about these programs at The Rinks Website .

Recreational Leagues

Recreational leagues help you improve your skating skills and build your knowledge of the game. After a season or two your confidence will build and you'll start feeling ready to try out. You can learn more about recreational leagues at the The Rinks Website .

Continue to Build on Your Skills!

To continue building on your skating and hockey skills, you can skate with the Ice Quakes. The program runs three 12 weeks sessions throughout the year. Learn more at The Ice Quakes website .

Spring Practices

In the Spring for a few weeks before try-outs, you'll have the opportunity to work out with the team during their weekly practices. This is a great way to get to know the team and the coaches and for them to get to know you. As Spring gets closer, watch this website for more information on team practices.
